On one hand I was ecstatic on the other I was nervous because I want the MVC to be a multibid league year in and year out. So yes Valpo's victory over Drake last year was sweet but also awkward and conflicting because I was worried about the potential damage it did to their at large candidacy.

Once that happens I don't know if I'll be QUITE so gung ho Racers especially while they're playing Valpo but I can promise the same I give to every other MVC team: You have my full support during the OOC portion of the schedule the NCAA Tournament or any other postseason tournament and if you have a good shot at an at large bid then I hope you are able to take it past the goal line and make the MVC a multibid league. I've wanted this since Valpo was announced as a new member (it should have been a two part addition). I hope we're moving towards a long overdue union of Murray State and the MVC.

A representative of Basketball NSW will be in attendance at the local domestic competitions held at the Port Macquarie Indoor Sports Stadium on Monday, September 21 and Wednesday, September 23. The delegated responsibility for the administration and management of the special general meeting will be with Basketball NSW. Following the decision by PMBA directors to resign, it was resolved that the requested special general meeting will proceed to pave a way forward and to fill the director vacancies. They also launched a petition which has been signed by 800 people.
In an attempt to come to a resolution, parents called for a special general meeting and sought advice on a mediation process from Basketball NSW. The annual general meeting has not yet been held.
More than 35 parents attempted to join the association as paid members to have a vote on the future of the sport, but their memberships were rejected, parent Janine Handley said earlier this week. The disciplinary action by PMBA came after the coaches and parents actively rallied to encourage new members to sign up to the club, enabling them have a say at the association's August annual general meeting.

The board cited breaches of the association's code of behaviour policies when banning the coaches. The concerns focused on action against three of the club's coaches who were banned by the PMBA board for a combined total of 12 years, while two U18s players were also ousted after an on-court protest about those bans. It comes after concerns about decisions made by the board were made public by a contingent of parents, players and coaches this week. All club members and life members were notified via email. Basketball NSW issued advice on Friday evening (September 18) with the stand down effective immediately. All board directors of Port Macquarie Basketball Association (PMBA) have resigned.
